About

Established in 2011, Stellar & Co provide interior design, interior architecture and project management for private clients in the UK and Europe. Working from their studio in SW London, the team are known for their work on period properties and townhouses, often including an element of restoration – reflecting and honouring the past while creating innovative design for modern living. Emphasis is given to quality, craftsmanship, materials and individuality - using layers of colour, textiles, and materials, and a mix of contemporary and antique furniture to create timeless environments.

How do you define your signature style?

“We develop individualised designs that suit our clients' tastes and needs. Our designs tend to be layered with different materials, textures, lighting, creating comfort and livable interiors that do not feel overly 'designed'.”

Why do your clients come to you? What do they value about your work?

"Typically clients come to us for a solid design and a high level of client service and managing projects. This is where many feel they get the real benefit, as we have a fantastic team of builders, joiners, tradespeople and makers that we have worked with for years and know we can trust. Pretty much all our clients have asked us to do subsequent projects with them, which is a testament to the dedication of our team to do good design and run projects well!"

How do you stay inspired and keep evolving your ideas?

“Our team are all inspired by various things - of course, travel and culture is a huge influence. Both our founders are very well-travelled and have lived in Asia, America and Europe, which is a huge influence. Art and the history of design is also a big interest for us and is something we include in most of our projects. We are also inspired by the locations of the properties we work on and our clients' lives - really allowing us to bring this into our work."
